Our guest speakers will be Mr. Dag Rømmen and Ms. Vigdis Haug.Dag Rømmen is a Norwegian lawyer and resident in Singapore and has been a NBAS committee member for many years. Disability protection for spouses is an important focus point for him.Vigdis Haug is partner and Managing Director of ScanRisk AS. She has previously held management positions in Storebrand and Vital insurance companies. Vigdis has lectured on pension and insurance several times—also in Singapore.NBAS has for many years tried to improve access to health and disability insurance for its members, in particular for personnel from small and medium sized businesses with limited HR resources.To update you on the latest developments we will hear two presentations:1. ANSA offer NBAS company members opportunity to present themselves at a half-day seminar for 200-240 Norwegian students organised at NUS on 24th March. NBAS company members can here promote themselves toward Norwegian students from universities in Singapore and from NTNU/Trondheim on visit to Singapore.
Please note that companies can participate only as a sponsor and sign up to do a company presentation, the deadline is 15th March for your possible response and there wil be limited slots for company presentations.
Most of the presentations will be in Norwegian, but companies can of course present themselves in English.
The seminar on 24 March is organised in co-operation with NBAS and Innovation Norway.

We are pleased to welcome Wilhelm Wilhelmsen, Chairman of Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA, as our honoured guest speaker at the luncheon talk Wednesday 27 January 2010.
In 1964, Wilhelm Wilhelmsen became Partner at the family-owned company Wilh. Wilhelmsen. In 1992, he was named Chairman of Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA and eight years later, he was appointed its President and Group Chief Executive Officer as well as named President of Skips A/S Tudor. In 2003, he reassumed the position of Chairman of Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA.
Wilhelm Wilhelmsen is a former Chairman of Det Norske Veritas and Saga Petroleum. In addition, he is member of the board of several Wilh. Wilhelmsen affiliated companies, such as Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines and EUKOR. Wilhelm Wilhelmsen is an Australian Honorary Consul to Norway. For his distinguished services rendered to country and mankind, he received, in 2007, the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav.
Mr. Wilhelmsen will share with us how the Wilh. Wilhelmsen Group has reacted to the situation in the shipping market and how the Group is positioning itself for recovery and growth prospects going forward.
The Asian Development Bank "Business Opportunities Seminar" is a three-part event for CEO's, owners, consultants and business development managers of companies in the region who are pursuing, or are interested in pursuing contracts with the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Procurement seminar, to be held on 26th of January wil feature two senior officials from ADB operations who will discuss their experience with securing contracts with the ADB.
